Adolescent Therapy
The teenage years bring about a lot of change, exploration, and challenges. Though it can be an exciting time, it can also be very overwhelming and challenging for teenagers and parents. In sessions, I partner with teens and parents to help teens balance their new desire for independence with their still developing brain.
Counseling services for adolescents

Our Work Together
I will meet with the teen and parent for the first session to discuss concerns, gather relevant background information, and learn more about what you are hoping to achieve. We will work together to identify goals and develop a plan that taps into your teen’s strengths and individual needs. I engage in talk therapy with teens that utilizes a variety of different therapeutic approaches. I also encourage emotional expression and processing through alternative modalities to help work through challenges.
In subsequent sessions, I will meet with your teen individually. Sessions last up to 50 minutes and can be done virtually or in-person.
I may contact your teen's school (with your permission) to assist with any school issues.
