About Naomi
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 10 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. I have a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Chicago and teach as an Adjunct Faculty member at George Mason University. I have previously worked as a clinical therapist at a social service agency, providing individual therapy for children, adolescents, and adults. I have also worked as a school social worker supporting students in Pre-K through 12th grade to learn and utilize coping strategies, strengthen social skills, and build self-confidence. In addition, I am trained in maternal mental health and specialize in supporting women through prenatal, pregnancy, and postpartum changes.
As a therapist, my goal is to create a safe and nurturing space for clients to build skills and strategies, utilize their strengths, and work towards personal growth. I partner with my clients to identify shared goals with the intent of applying the work we do to their daily lives. I utilize a variety of techniques that include integrating evidence based practices, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
I also harness my experience in schools as both a former teacher and a former school social worker to help families and schools ensure that children are set up with supports and accommodations that enable them to access curriculum in a way that best meets their individual needs and learning style.
